Acón is located in the heart of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, in Castrillo de la Vega, Burgos. At around 800 metres above sea level and on a chalky-clay base, the land and the vines are fertilized exclusively with local organic matter to avoid transfer of outside contaminants.

Winter and green pruning, cluster thinning after veraison and a total absence of irrigation result in a production of less than two kilos per vine; in which all of the soil’s minerals and nutrients are concentrated.

No herbicides or any other aggressive treatments are used on the vineyards.
