Sustainable and Low InterventionWinemakers: Bruno and Maud Matray |
Bruno and Maud Matray represent the 4th and 5th generation of family, cultivating these special sites and crafting beguiling Cru Beaujolais from their pristine organically grown vineyards.
Bruno took over the family estate in Fleurie (Grille Midi) in 1991 from his father George who had in turn taken the reigns from Grandfather Marius and before that Great Grandfather Louis.
In 2005, Bruno set about restructuring and implementing sustainable practices in order to elevate the quality while ensuring the health of the local environment.
In 2020 Maud Matray partnered with her father after 5 years working as a civil engineer and retraining in viticulture and oenology. Maud has been the driving force behind the conversion to organics and bring the Mtray et Filles label into being.
