From a young age Dominic had a keen interest in Tempranillo, he then was part of the pioneer growers of the grape varietal in Victoria. This also resulted in 13 consecutive vintages in Portugal while criss-crossing the globe for over a decade.

On a well-earned break on South Australia's picturesque Yorke Peninsula after a particularly difficult vintage in the Barossa Valley, Dominic and Krystina Morris committed to building their own brand, named after the place of inception, Pondalowie was created.

Based in Victorias picturesque Bendigo region with vines in Bridgewater on Loddon, Pondalowie wines are made from grapes they are passionate about growing Tempranillo, Shiraz, Malbec, Merlot, Viognier and Cabernet Sauvignon and sourcing some fruit from nearby Heathcote.
